Where to get help for you stock trading picks
money making stocks is hard and if anybody tries to tell you how much money you can make with little or no education in investing, turn around and walk away. Actually, you should probably run.
It’s not easy. Stocks can go up and down for any number of reasons so simply looking at a chart of where the price has been isn’t going to make you money. You’re more likely to cash in at the horse racing track.
While I’ve written numerous articles about how to do the proper research to make your own stock trading picks, the realistic fact is that for those people with full time jobs, families, and other responsibilities, there may not be time to do one hour of research per week on each stock you own.

Luckily, there are many services that will help you make your picks. In fact, many of them will make your stock trading picks for you. Let’s take a look at how you evaluate the many services who would like to help you.
First, anybody wanting to help you with your investment portfolio should be licensed and registered with the SEC. Some guy who has a website and a whole lot of promises along with the cheapest price isn’t worth your time. Your money is too important.
Pick somebody who is associated with a financial authority. While store brand green beans might be ok, this is an area where you buy the name brand.
Google them. If they are an online service, Google them and see what kinds of testimonials appear. The internet allows everybody to have an opinion so don’t expect to find a spotless record but the goods should far outweigh the bads.
Finally, they should have a trial period and a money back guarantee. This is how you know that they stand behind their work.
If you don’t have the time or don’t feel confident that you can make the best investment choices, consider subscribing to a service like Action Alerts Plus where an expert like Jim Cramer is doing your research for you and all you have to do is buy and sell when they tell you to execute the trade. My secret is that I don’t have enough time to do all of my research so I let Action Alert Plus do it for me.

The first book I ever read about investing was Jim Cramer’s Real Money. Click here to go to the elementary finance bookstore to order your copy. You can also take a look at the book in the box above. Although the first book, it is still the book I reread once every year.

It may not be a definitive source of stocks, but if you go to finance.yahoo.com and look at the biggest losers list on say … a friday … it seems MANY of them go up the following week, and sometimes even hit the biggest gainers list. Research is still necessary of course, because some of them continue to go down even farther … any thoughts?
