I think making sure the encryption is secure is a much overlooked aspect by the average consumer. This of course can be found on the bottom right of your browser when you are on a secure page. The problem many face is that spyware overrides this connection and steals their information. A lot of great tips that if followed probably decrease the chances greatly that their credit cards get stolen.

I don’t have a credit card right now, but will be having it very soon for online transactions especially. I heard a lot about not giving credit card numbers over unreliable websites. Disclosing it over Ebay, won’t cause any harm. But this guide has surged a kind of confidence in me before I go in for any online transaction. Thanks a lot for this useful post. I will be sharing it with my network for sure.

Thanks for the post. Interesting to read that 15 million people a year, get caught out by scams. That’s a lot of people and a lot of MONEY!

I’ve found the bet way to avoid credit card scams is just to not have one. I realize that I’m in a minority, but hey, it keeps my life simple and I’ve never been in debt. Perhaps you could make that point number 6; To avoid all credit cards scams – shred your card! LOL
