Free finance software worth a look

3

mint1It’s always better if it’s free. Often we have the idea that while it would be nice if high quality could be free but it’s not true. We almost always have to make the choice between free and quality but I found some free finance software that may combine quality with free.

Once you’re done reading, take a look at mint.com. This free finance software is similar to Microsoft Money, Quicken, or the other versions that must be purchased and from what I can see, it’s just as good and all online.

Claiming that the package can be set up in no more than 5 minutes, this site allows for you to keep your bank accounts, investments, and purchases all in one place. Plus, for all you Iphone junkies, there is an Iphone app for it.

Along with keeping your financial records in one place, this free finance software analyzes your spending habits and makes unbiased offers to you that may help you to save even more money.

Of course the makers of this financial suite don’t know me and I don’t know them so you can feel confident that if I’m recommending it, it’s at least worth a second look especially if you aren’t keeping track of your finances in any kind of software. Of course, if you can find free finance software, do it. Mint.com is more than worth it.

Note: Although I shouldn’t refer to web based applications as software, because it functions better than some of the actual software on the market, it deserves to be lumped in to this category.

Been using it for about 6 months and I love it. Clean organized and tons of great information. It can mis-categorize purchases from time to time.

It sounds too good to be true. How is it paid for?
