My take on being better than unemployed is to go in for freelance jobs.

If you have an expertise which can be harnessed on the web, nothing better. There are 00′s of sites where you can work for money online.

This high (and rising) unemployment certainly is worrying. However, the recession will be over eventually and things will pick up again, and I think it’s important to remember this. Those looking for work now won’t be forever – they just need to get through this period.

“Wage correction” is a euphemism for impoverishing American workers. The outsourcing of jobs to India and China, the importation of foreign workers on visas and the entry of millions of illegal aliens into the country, all at the expense of the jobs and wages of American working men and women is the problem, not the solution.
