On my facebook page, I received a great question today regarding an article I wrote about debt. Here is the question:

All this week I have been talking about the negative aspects of debt. I believe that by in large, all debt is bad in the hands of the average person. My feelings on this come from the statistics that show both individuals, families, corporations, and governments are largely irresponsible and I will say, destructive with debt.

Maybe this will be my crusade. I’m passionate about debt management for one reason: I, along with many others, believe that much like a cancer in the body, consumer and corporate debt has the potential to bring the national to its economic knees. I believe that if we don’t get it under control, debt may send many of us back to the food lines creating pictures reminiscent of the Great Depression. Do I sound like an alarmist? I hope so.
